There's nothing quite like a nice bottle of rosé to indulge in. This summer, I encourage you to try some of my favorite rosé wines. Whether you want to spend a little or a lot, each wine is highly acclaimed and favored among wine connoisseurs. Grab a bottle of one of these spectacular rosés and enjoy among your friends in the warm summer sun.
Provence Château
d’Esclans 2012 Garrus Rosé (Côtes de Provence)
$100
This full bodied rosé pushes this category of wine to the
limits in the best way. It is wood-aged and rich, which creates a spectacular
bold taste with the mature fruit. It has been aged an extra year but 2015 is
the best time to enjoy it… so drink up!
Château Coussin 2014 Cuvée César à Sumeire Rosé (Côtes de
Provence Sainte-Victoire)
$60
This is as serious as a Provence Rosé can get. Its limited
production makes this rosé highly coveted and appreciated. A strictly dry wine
such as this has a bold textured character about it. It is ready to drink now,
although it will become even richer come early 2016.
Domaine Saint-André de Figuière 2013 Confidentielle Rosé
(Côtes de Provence La Londe)
$53
This wine is beautiful to look at and to taste
with its salmon pink color. It combines an array of red fruits, bright acidity
and a bold texture.
Château Sainte Roseline 2011 Cuvée Prieure Rosé (Côtes de
Provence)
$38
To be paired with a sophisticated food, this rosé is light
and bright. It incorporates a hint of limejuice and raspberry fruit as well as
a touch of saltiness. This is the perfect rosé for a summertime dinner party.
Torbreck 2006 Saignée Rosé (Barossa Valley)
$20
From the Barossa
Valley of South Australia, this Rosé is 100% Mourvédre, barrel fermented and
bone dry. It is not your typical fruity Rosé. Instead it is more of a red rosé
with hints of cola and chocolate tree bark. The strawberry background lightens
it up bringing this bottle to life.
I do so love some rose!
